About the product:
The Lelit Fred Prima PL043 is an on-demand grinder only 5.5 in (14 cm) wide, with 38mm conical burrs and a 5.3 oz (150g) hopper. We like it as a first espresso grinder. There is no menu to learn: you have the grind knob and a dosing button.
Grind size is set through a side knob with micrometric stepless adjustment. The hopper carries a scale from one, the finest, to seven, the coarsest. The conical burrs grind vertically for a precise and consistent result.
Dosing is manual. You press the central button with the portafilter and release it when you have the coffee you want. The body, coffee chute, portafilter support, grinding button and hopper lid are all polished stainless steel.
How to use:
Fill the smoked hopper and close the lid to keep the beans away from air and light.
Turn the side knob toward 1 for a finer grind and toward 7 for a coarser one.
Hold the portafilter on the support, press the button and release it once the dose is in the basket.
