About the product:
The Sette 270 takes its name from its 270 grind settings. There are 31 macro steps, and a stepless micro ring with nine indicators refines each one. The mechanism connects directly to the cone burr, so every change takes effect right away.
We see the 270 as a practical espresso grinder for people who weigh a few doses, set the timer and then let it repeat. The convertible arms hold a portafilter, the grounds bin or a brewing device. The shut-off hopper holds 10.6oz (300g) and lets you change beans without tipping the grinder over.
How to use:
Start with the micro ring at E, then turn the macro ring close to the grind you want while the motor runs.
Hang the portafilter on the arms and hook, press a preset and then START.
Once the dose is right, adjust the time with the arrows and hold the preset button for three seconds to save it.

FAQs:
Q: Does the Sette 270 dose by weight?
A: No. It doses by time. Weight-based dosing on the same platform is what the Sette 270Wi adds.
Q: Can I make the grind range finer?
A: Yes. A small shim washer is included. It goes under the cone burr and shifts the whole range finer.
Q: How much can I grind in a day?
A: Baratza designed the Sette for up to 2 lb (1kg) per day. For espresso, grind for about 6 seconds and let it rest for about 60.
