About the product:
The Sette 30 is only 5.1 in (13cm) wide, so it slides next to almost any espresso machine. Its 40mm conical burrs are made in Liechtenstein. A rotating outer ring burr and a high-torque DC motor keep grinding fast, with a double shot in about 5 seconds at espresso settings.
We like the Sette 30 as a first serious espresso grinder. The manual suggests setting 10 as a starting point for espresso and 25 for manual brew. The convertible arms take either the grounds bin or a portafilter, so one grinder covers the morning shot and the weekend pour over.
How to use:
Turn the adjustment ring to set the grind. The manual suggests starting around 10 for espresso.
For a portafilter, pull the arms out, rotate them 90 degrees and push them back in.
Set the time with the arrows and press START. The motor stops when the timer is reached.

FAQs:
Q: Does the Sette 30 have micro adjustment?
A: No. It has stepped macro settings only. The Sette 270 adds a stepless micro ring on top of the macro steps.
Q: Can I use it for drip or pour over?
A: Yes. The manual gives 25 as a starting point for manual brew, and at drip settings it grinds around 5g per second. Espresso remains its main strength.
Q: How much can it grind per day?
A: Baratza designed the Sette for up to 2 lb (1kg) per day. For espresso, plan on about 6 seconds of grinding and about 60 seconds of rest.
