The machine's most recognizable feature is for sure the angular side panels which we believe give it distinctive looks compared to the boxy design we are used to seeing. However, should you prefer a more classic shaped coffee machine, then you will want the Rocket Mozzafiato Timer Type V instead. As always with Rocket, you won’t have to sacrifice design for functionality because the Giotto features everything you need to prepare the best espresso coffee. It features a built-in shot timer, a PID (hidden behind the drip tray), hot water, and the familiar E61 group specially modified by Rocket to allow a 1-second pre-infusion before the coffee extraction. Inside you will find a 1.8 Litre Heat exchanger boiler which allows brewing and steaming at the same time. If like us you fell in love with the Giotto’s design but would like it with a Rotatory Pump instead, don’t worry because Rocket thought of you and introduces the Rocket Giotto Timer Evoluzione R.
Pros
Design: we believe that the Giotto's design is the most original offered by Rocket. With a line-up characterized by linear and perpendicular lines, the Giotto breaks that rule and shows a less conventional design but staying true to Rocket's philosophy of "less is more".
Things to Consider
Careful with the Chrome: being entirely covered in chrome panels, it will be very easy to notice scratches in the stainless steel. To avoid that we always recommend cleaning the coffee machine with a micro-fiber cloth.
